To sea... or not
Was looking forward to a day hopping between islands... but the weather wasn't on our side. Seemed that there was a typhoon in The Philippines and kena tempias kat KK. It was an unusual phenomenon according to the hotel staff to see air pasang and so rough.
Too bad for us :( Looks like we'll have to come back to KK for a trip to see the fishes swimming in crystal clear waters...

But by noon, everything was back to normal. However, it was too late :(

Back to KK
Drove back into town... this time staying at Sutera Harbour.
Since we loved the food so much, we headed for the pasar malam again :) After having another round of scrumtious dinner, we took a stroll by the pier.

Taking in the view
Our accommodation for the night was at a simply lodge. Nothing 5-star about the place except for the view. An early morning rise will reward you with the view of the majestic Mount Kinabalu, right out of your doorstep

Driving to the foot of Mount Kinabalu
We rented a car and headed for the interior of Sabah. The plan was to drive to the foot of Kinabalu and sleep over in Kundasang.
It was a lovely drive... and we went on to Poring springs to do the canopy walk. It was a real achievement for me being vertically challenged. Menakutkan but BEST!!
